DeskDirector Labs | New Initiative | Try New Features Before Everybody

Today we announce a new initiative at DeskDirector, DeskDirector Labs.

Previously we would release Beta features to select partners to try out and get feedback. With DeskDirector Labs we open the doors to anyone wanting to try new features out before we open them to all.

The upside to this is anyone can get involved in the process and these "Labs" features can easily be turned on and off.

In this One Minute Wednesday, introduce the concept and show you how you can turn these Labs on as they get introduced.

Hi, and welcome to another One Minute Wednesday. In this episode, we’re going to introduce a new concept of DeskDirector, and that’s DeskDirector Labs. With DeskDirector Labs, rather than limiting which of our partners have access to beta features, any of our partners can turn these features on and off. And that will mean anyone who wants to be involved in the development process and provide feedback early can do so by simply visiting DeskDirector Labs. Let’s take a look at how you can turn that on. To enable Labs from the DeskDirector admin console, head over to Configuration and a new menu item DeskDirector Labs. While you’re there, you can easily turn on and off any of the features listed. As an added bonus, we’ve already got a feature in DeskDirector Labs and that’s Web Chat. And that’s going to allow DeskDirector web users to be able to chat with your team.
