Often when our partners are setting DeskDirector up for their clients, they want to make sure they have it all set up right, and the end user gets a great experience.
Well we had this in mind when we built a brand new feature launching today, impersonation.
In this One Minute Wednesday we explore how you can use this to impersonate a client and make sure they get what you want them to get and nothing more.

Hi, and welcome to another One Minute Wednesday. Now one of the things we hear all the time when someone’s first setting up DeskDirector is they wish they could try it out as if they’re one of their clients. Well, we’ve got some great news for you: with DeskDirector’s Impersonation feature you can try out DeskDirector as if you’re one of your clients. That way, before you roll it out to them, you can try it out and make sure you got everything set up right. Let’s take a look at this in action. From the DeskDirector admin console there will be a new menu item which is Impersonate Contacts. Once you come in here, you can easily find the contact you’re after by name, company or email address. Once you found the contact you’re after, you can easily click the Impersonate button that will pop out a new window, which is DeskDirector Web logged in automatically as the contact in question. That way you can try out DeskDirector as if you were them. Now, obviously that fires up DeskDirector Web, but the DeskDirector install version has exactly the same experience.
